This show is amazing. It manages to combine all the things that make a show lively and entralling.
It’s one of a kind humor and so unconventional it defies description.
In an attempt, it’s about two kids, orphans, who find a company called Fleemco that sends in replacements for people or occupations. The kids put in a request for new parents and get a dim-witted action oriented daredevil father named Dick Daring and a kick butt super secret action spy super model mom.
I know, it’s weird but it makes for laughs and stories surrounding friendship, family, duty. Plots take place at home and at school where Todd and Riley, the two kids, attend along with their eclectic group of schoolmates.
Comedy usually surrounds the kids finding replacements for librarians, teachers, neighbors etc. yet also real family crisis spring up and are dealt with with compassion and a look at responsibility and family/friends teamwork.
It didn’t attract me at first because of the art style but the characterization overshadowed it and it’s a must watch on ABC after the equally astounding “Emperor’s New Groove”.
Maybe we should have called Fleemco when Bush won the presidency or maybe someone beat us to it and that’s why we got him in the first place.
